Use of Technology Guidelines for Non-Registry of Motor Vehicles Users

The System ID and password determines the specific functions/privileges that a user is authorized to use. These are generally the functions that he/she needs to perform his/her assigned duties. Below are some guidelines that users should follow to protect their accounts from unauthorized access.

The password associated with a System ID must not be divulged to another person. No one may use, or attempt to use, a System ID or password allocated to another person. Users should take all reasonable precautions to protect resources assigned to them. In addition, never perform any transaction and/or access the Registry of Motor Vehicles System and/or web applications under anyone else's System ID and password.

Users must log off or lock the terminal if it will not be used for any length of time. For example: at breaks, lunch, and close of business.
