Pulmonary Disease

A customer whose oxygen saturation level is 88% or less at rest or with minimal exertion, even with supplemental oxygen, is not eligible to obtain a permit/license and, if he/she already has a permit/license, is required to voluntarily surrender it, or be subject to suspension or revocation.

A customer who was previously not eligible for a permit/license will be eligible to obtain or regain a Class D, Class M, or Class D/M permit/license if he/she can provide all of the following information from his/her physician to the Medical Affairs:

1.  Medical documentation that his/her O2 saturation level is greater than 88% at rest or with minimal exertion

2.  A certification that, to a reasonable degree of medical certainty, the customer is medically qualified to operate a motor vehicle safely
