The customer must meet the Registry of Motor Vehicles’ identification requirements. He/she must submit an original certified driving record from the home territory or country. Driving records must be no more than 30 days old.
An original certified driving record is required from the 14 U.S. Territories, Canada, and Mexico because the driving records of those jurisdictions are not available for electronic review by the Registry of Motor Vehicles through the Problem Driver Pointer System. If the customer has a disability that might prevent him/her from operating a motor vehicle properly, he/she may not be eligible for a license.
